The city of Brahman

Upanishads are the greatest source of knowledge and the essence through which the supremacy of humanity is revealed. Essentially, the upanishads form the knowledge part of the Vedas. Hence, without Upanishads, Vedas are just manuals of doctrinces, dogmas, details and the unessentials. There are 108 Upanishads in total and some like Chandogya Upanishad, Isa Upanishad, Mundakha Upanishad, Kena Upanishad are considered to be the key ones. Chandogya and Mundakha Updanishads are my favourite ones, for they help feel the supremacy and the profoundness of the self. The following leaflet formed a part of my marriage invitation and most thought I'm weird. My be I'm. My intention was to share this piece, so that they can appreciate themselves for being the Brahman. Are we not Brahmans? Why do we seek the Brahman everywhere, when we ourselves are one?

Shiva: Congrats on your marriage. I think the name "braman" / brahmin which appears can be little rude for other peole who believe inc asteism liek you. You can carry your last name but in your invitation. If you very specifi, it points out the rest are left out for no reason.

Thanks Priya. Putting me in trouble? Brahman has nothing to to with any caste. It is the supreme self that resides in lotus of everyones heart, which is beyond the physical body, astral body, mind, intelligence and consciouness.

Shiva: I think I was dumb.. not knowing you are tlaking about lotus. OOOpsy... When you explain, I see the difference if not just like anybody, I will think its about what I said.

You say self means the power of "I". right. Me or myself alone and not anybody.

Priya - Not exactly. Self is not "I". "I" comes from ego while the "Self" is releaved when ego disappears.

The Self is the microcosm of this existence while existence is the macrocosm of the Self.

If you get a chance read the leaflet and also this post http://kodaihills.blogspot.com/2006/01/in-search.html
